The Amazon Employee Onboarding Experience (EOE) team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build cloud-based solutions for onboarding new employees at Amazon. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining the platform that supports the joining experience for new Amazonians. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical judgment, problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation. The team emphasizes fast decision-making and prioritization to enhance the customer experience while maintaining high engineering standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Own elements of the design, build, and maintenance of the onboarding platform
- Design and implement new features and enhancements for the onboarding experience
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to solve complex issues
- Advocate for solutions that improve the customer experience during daily conversations with Product Managers
- Lead projects that impact new joiner Amazonians globally
