The role is for a software engineer within Amazon's eCommerce Foundation, specifically in the Business Data Technologies group. This team processes large volumes of data and builds scalable solutions to enhance the customer experience. The engineer will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products in data processing and machine learning. The position requires strong programming skills and a passion for large-scale computing.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Contribute to open source technologies in large-scale distributed computing and data processing.
- Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
