Job description

As a Software Engineer in the NoSQL and in-memory database team at AWS, you will focus on developing large-scale, distributed in-memory databases with sub-millisecond latency. The role involves leveraging open-source technologies and Amazon proprietary technologies to create high-performance services. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and testing
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Develop large-scale, distributed in-memory databases with sub-millisecond latency
  • Leverage open source technologies like Redis and Memcached
  • Implement low level optimizations and asynchronous messaging
  • Create real-time failure detection systems and ensure high availability
  • Mentor other engineers and enable a quality product
