As a Data Infrastructure Engineer at Amazon IVS, you will empower internal teams and customers with the data necessary for operational and business decisions. The team focuses on managing petabyte-scale data infrastructure to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning workloads. You will work closely with product and analytics teams to deliver high-performance solutions while ensuring data quality and reliability. This role is crucial for enabling developers to build engaging live video experiences.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable data infrastructure in native AWS
- Build and optimize data pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and ML workloads
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability through monitoring and automated alerting
- Work closely with product and analytics teams to understand requirements
- Champion best practices for security, compliance, and governance in data infrastructure
- Identify opportunities to optimize performance and cost of data platforms
- Stay current with emerging tools, frameworks, and cloud services in the data infrastructure ecosystem
