Job description

The System Engineer role within Amazon Leo for Government focuses on designing, integrating, and testing innovative satellite communication solutions. The team aims to provide high-speed internet services to underserved communities through advanced satellite technology. The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, engaging with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure system integrity and customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong technical background in space systems engineering and a passion for solving complex problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in space systems engineering principles and techniques.
  • 4+ years of experience in spacecraft systems engineering or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with spacecraft integration and testing.
  • Experience in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of space segment systems engineering.
  • Collaborates with technical program management to ensure successful program execution.
  • Applies an interdisciplinary approach to plan and verify space segment products.
  • Deep-dives into satellite subsystems functions and develop integrated designs.
  • Participate in software-to-hardware integration and test activities.
