Job description

The role involves managing lab activities and developing solutions to enhance lab automation within the Machine Learning Acceleration team at Annapurna Labs, part of AWS. The position requires collaboration with Hardware and Software Engineering teams, as well as interaction with vendors for lab equipment. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of related experience in engineering labs.
  • 6+ years of experience with soldering and rework skills.
  • Experience in reading schematics and PCB layout.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage inventory and procurement of components and equipment.
  • Strong computer skills across Mac/Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Basic debug experience of electronic boards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the organization’s lab activities and develop solutions for lab automation.
  • Support Hardware and Software Engineering teams with lab setup and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support for product development projects in the Machine Learning lab.
  • Work with external and internal groups, including vendors for lab equipment.
  • Maintain detailed logs of rework and revision history.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
