Join Amazon's Tech Supply Chain team as a Systems Development Engineer to create innovative Gen-AI powered solutions for critical supply chain challenges. This role focuses on designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems that support Amazon's global operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring system reliability and performance. The position offers opportunities to influence technical direction and solve complex distributed systems challenges.
Requirements
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
- Experience with Linux/Unix.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with distributed systems at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed micro-services handling millions of transactions daily with 99.99% uptime SLAs.
- Develop and implement unified platforms consolidating legacy systems into single customer interfaces.
- Write production-ready code for real-time validation services with sub-second response times.
- Build scalable data ingestion engines supporting multiple formats with guardrail-based validation.
- Implement workflow automation systems with configurable approval routing and SLA tracking.
- Optimize database queries and caching strategies ensuring sub-100ms response times for critical paths.
- Develop event-driven solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, and SNS.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and maintaining code quality standards.
- Collaborate with product managers translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support incident response and root cause analysis for production systems.
