The Senior Design Engineer will join Amazon's North America AMZL Design Engineering Team, focusing on the design and optimization of the delivery and sortation network. This role involves driving building design and standardization across the Last Mile delivery network. The team is dedicated to logistics innovation, combining expertise in engineering and CAD design to enhance Amazon's delivery stations. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure operational goals are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

• Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
• 8+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies, and storage solutions
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
• Experience working with and managing third party vendors
• Experience in the real estate and construction process related to the development of manufacturing facilities

• Responsible for building design, development, review, and release for approval of new delivery stations and existing station capacity improvements.
• Provide process expertise on engineering design including material flow, labor placement, conveyors, and equipment.
• Collaborate with Design Managers, CAD drafters, and other teams to achieve design goals.
• Lead continuous process and design benchmark initiatives and conduct deep dive benchmark studies.
• Support the Design quality control process to ensure accurate and zero-defect designs.
• Implement new Design standards in collaboration with various teams.
• Facilitate cross-functional project specific reviews to collaborate on design solutions.
• Implement solutions for recurring process issues and improvement projects within Design Engineering processes.
