Job description

The Security Engineer role within the VMR Campaign Management team at Amazon focuses on assessing and remediating security, compliance, and privacy risks across the Amazon ecosystem. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques.
  • Experience in scripting, programming, and security code reviewing in a common programming language.
  • 2+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented languages.
  • Experience with AWS products and services.
  • Knowledge of usage or integration experience with common cloud-hosted services.

Responsibilities

  • Create and launch security campaigns at scale while maintaining a high security and quality bar.
  • Assess the technical details and potential impact of security campaigns across Amazon's infrastructure, services, and applications.
  • Reduce manual remediation and builder toil through automation and paved path solutions.
  • Work with security teams to identify preventative security measures to address current and future risks.
  • Design and implement automation, tools, and workflows to enhance operational capabilities.
