Job description

The role is focused on data engineering within the AWS ASP Data Engineering Team, which supports the data needs of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization. The successful candidate will leverage cloud-based data services and AI/ML technologies to drive insights from large datasets. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will work on building and optimizing data pipelines and frameworks to support business growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large datasets
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR
  • Experience operating large data warehouses
  • Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
  • Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers for best practices on data engineering
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies, including Agentic Frameworks, autonomous agents, multi-agent orchestration, tool integration, and RAG pipelines
  • Experience driving technical vision and roadmap for data platforms and infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Support the data needs of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization.
  • Leverage cloud-based data services to optimize data pipelines.
  • Utilize AI/ML technologies to unlock insights from large datasets.
  • Design and build Agentic Frameworks for data processing.
  • Mentor other engineers on best practices in data engineering.
  • Drive the technical vision and roadmap for data platforms.
