This role focuses on analyzing and modeling petabyte-scale data to build machine learning algorithms that address real-world security and operational challenges within AWS Identity Analytics. The team is dedicated to transforming vast amounts of identity data into actionable insights that influence AWS Identity services and customer experiences. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with engineers and product leaders to drive measurable business outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to apply state-of-the-art techniques in machine learning and deep learning while mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end ML solutions that turn Identity logs, policies, and metrics into actionable insights.
- Build and operate LLM-powered agents that enable service teams to interact with Identity data conversationally.
- Engineer features from petabyte-scale datasets using AWS services and deploy models to production environments.
- Partner with AWS Identity leadership and other service teams to define success metrics and validate models.
- Apply state-of-the-art techniques in ML and deep learning to Identity Analytics challenges.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's long-term technical direction.
