The Senior Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer at Amazon Web Services will be part of a global engineering team focused on the design and implementation of plumbing and fire protection systems for data centers. This role involves collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The engineer will drive standardization across global data centers while also participating in research and development of new technologies. The position emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement in engineering practices.

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, or BIM 360
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for the region

• Design and implement energy-efficient plumbing and fire protection systems for data centers
• Create comprehensive documentation for designs and operational procedures
• Support continuous improvement through data analysis and system optimization
• Guide project teams through planning, execution, and commissioning phases
• Conceive, initiate, and lead projects with widespread impact on infrastructure design, innovation, and implementation
• Collaborate with teams or individuals from other disciplines, cultures, and countries
• Produce clear and concise documentation such as detailed design specifications and reports
• Drive standardization in the data center plumbing and fire-protection spaces
• Provide technical support on global Large Scale Events (LSE’s) and participate in investigations
• Maintain and host technical forums for development of data center plumbing and fire-protection systems
