Job description
As an IT Support Engineer I at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise application software. Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 2+ years of professional experience in a relevant field
- 2+ years of troubleshooting experience in a multi-user high availability environment
- 2+ years of networking experience including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP
- 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation experience
- 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience
- Valid Drivers License
- Fluency in Cisco/networking and either Linux and/or Microsoft
Responsibilities
- Perform network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration in various software and hardware environments.
- Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
- Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
- Manage local technical projects effectively.
- Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
- Support customers from multiple buildings in the area as well as remote customers.
- Travel within your local or regional area to support customers.
