The Software Development Engineer will join Amazon CloudFront's Video Delivery team in Seattle, WA, focusing on building distributed, scalable systems for video content delivery. This role involves collaborating with various teams across AWS to innovate and enhance video streaming technologies. The engineer will work on challenges related to real-time content packaging and adaptive bitrate streaming. The position offers an opportunity to mentor other engineers and contribute to the development of high-quality video delivery systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate distributed systems that deliver video on a global scale.
- Drive technical strategy and architecture decisions for video delivery infrastructure.
- Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements through deployment and operations.
- Explore and apply AI/ML-driven approaches to optimize video delivery and quality of experience.
- Leverage AI-assisted development for fast prototyping, design, and coding.
