The Amazon Prime Air Team is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop power electronics hardware for drones. This role involves working with both internal and external vendors to support hardware development and testing. The engineer will be responsible for building prototype hardware and leading test planning and execution. A commitment to diversity and inclusion is emphasized within the team culture.
Requirements
- BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of hardware engineering experience
- Experience designing inverter and converter circuits
- Knowledge and experience with embedded control of power electronic circuits
- Experience leading PCBA board Bring-Up and validation testing
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is preferred
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as bash and python
- Experience with harness design and drawings
- Experience with lab equipment, hardware interfaces, embedded systems, or device communication protocols
- DO-160 Test Experience, particularly in EMI and RF
Responsibilities
- Design and develop low and high voltage power electronics hardware for Prime Air Drones.
- Work with internal and external vendors to support hardware development, manufacturing, and testing.
- Build prototype hardware and lead test planning and execution.
- Document results throughout the development process.
