The Production Platform Engineering team is dedicated to building and maintaining cloud-native capabilities that support various post-production workflows. This position involves solving complex technical challenges and collaborating with creative teams to ensure seamless production processes. The role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge AWS services and contribute to the future of media production.

Requirements

  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix Administration.
  • Experience in systems administration, network administration, AWS cloud app development, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
  • Experience implementing AWS services.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and tools such as CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
  • Experience with a variety of digital media workflows and post-production.

Responsibilities

  • Build new cloud-native capabilities for VFX rendering and management, sound mixing, QC, mastering, delivery, and remote production workflows.
  • Improve and scale existing Editorial, Dailies, Color, and Conform workflows supporting active productions.
  • Translate complex post-production workflows into infrastructure-as-code using CloudFormation or CDK.
  • Troubleshoot production-impacting issues across the full stack, from network configurations to application-level bugs.
  • Design and implement solutions using AWS compute, storage, and networking services optimized for high-throughput media workloads.
  • Build secure infrastructure following AWS best practices for encryption, IAM policies, VPC design, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and internal Production Technology teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Automate operational tasks and build self-service tools that empower production teams.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
