Job description

The FaST Purchase & Post team at Amazon focuses on enhancing the cart, checkout, and payment processing experiences for Shopbop and Zappos customers. This role involves building critical services that directly impact customer interactions and requires collaboration with internal stakeholders. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience creating processes and improving tools that have measurably improved productivity, quality, or advertiser experience
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences

Responsibilities

  • Build, provision, and test a variety of APIs and services with a focus on server-side work.
  • Scope projects, complete design, and build systems for launch.
  • Support internal stakeholders in Fashion & Fitness Subs Finance to ensure the right tooling is built.
  • Provide feedback on code reviews and assist teammates in unblocking their work.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups to update the team on project progress and tasks.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to reduce technical debt.
