Job description
The Senior Software Engineer will be part of the AWS Compliance & Security Assurance Engineering team, which focuses on building customer trust by exceeding security and compliance expectations. This multidisciplinary team includes software engineers, security engineers, and compliance specialists, and is dedicated to designing services that withstand scrutiny from regulators and security-sensitive customers. The role involves influencing projects across multiple products, mentoring other developers, and leading technical strategies. The engineer will also work on creating highly available, secure, and distributed systems while continuously improving processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience or familiarity with building scalable systems that integrate Generative AI technologies
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality code with thorough test coverage while mentoring other developers.
- Engineer systems that operate at Amazon scale.
- Design highly available, secure, distributed systems of microservices.
- Work on Agile projects with high visibility and make continuous improvements.
- Have full ownership and operate the systems built based on real-time customer data.
