The Senior Software Development Engineer (L6) role focuses on leading the design and implementation of distributed AI data pipelines and systems. The team is part of the Quick organization in New York, working on Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases to enhance AI applications with contextual enterprise data. This position involves providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving consensus on technical approaches. The role offers an opportunity to innovate in the field of Generative AI and Retrieval Augmented Generation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of distributed AI data pipelines and systems
- Balance speed of execution with architectural requirements
- Drive adoption of engineering best practices and operational excellence across the team
- Solve complex technical problems with multiple risks and roadblocks
- Mentor and coach multiple engineers to develop technical talent
