As a Data Center Civil Engineer at AWS, you will lead the design of civil engineering projects for Amazon Data Centers. You will work within a diverse team of engineers and designers to innovate and solve complex problems in site design. • Professional Engineer License
• Knowledge of site development codes and regulations
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for site development
• Experience with low impact development strategies and designing sustainable features
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities

• Manage external civil design consultants throughout the Data Center design and construction process
• Review designs for site layout, grading, power substations, storm water, utilities, and pavement
• Coordinate with internal and external design engineers as a technical resource and design leader
• Develop preliminary site layout concepts using Civil 3D while maintaining flexibility for design evolution
• Effectively communicate design standards to project partners
• Create and maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction
• Develop and maintain design standards and template specifications for Data Centers
• Create, review, and release design RFPs for various projects
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
• Develop and lead initiatives aimed at improving cost, quality, schedule, and consistency
