Job description

This role involves designing the next generation of fulfillment centers and logistics systems globally. The team is composed of highly skilled engineers who work in a fast-paced environment on high-impact projects. The focus is on creating cost-effective solutions that leverage advanced technologies such as automated material handling equipment and robotics. The engineer will manage multiple projects from concept to design approval and support the installation and commissioning process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in design, innovation, research and development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in managing engineering design projects.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, statistical analysis, and decision making.
  • Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and high-speed manufacturing.
  • Experience with design-in-safety.
  • Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high-quality solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems.
  • Own multiple projects simultaneously from concept realization through design approval.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for suppliers on assigned projects.
  • Support the Ops Engineering team during the installation and commissioning of designed systems.
  • Work on a variety of projects including green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits.
