The Senior Power Generation Availability Engineer will serve as a Subject Matter Expert within the Power Generation Solutions team, focusing on power system availability modeling for AWS data centers. This role involves leading the development of availability models and evaluating power generation designs to meet AWS's stringent requirements. The team is dedicated to delivering innovative engineering solutions that enhance infrastructure uptime and minimize costs while advancing sustainability goals. Candidates should be prepared to tackle complex challenges and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities
• Knowledge of electrical systems in critical Data Center operations
• Experience constructing electrical engineering systems including large scale power distribution
• Experience with availability modeling software and familiarity with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and engineering drawings
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
• Professional Engineer License is preferred
• 10+ years of experience in data center or mission critical facilities
• Familiarity with power flow studies and utility interconnection requirements
• Experience with gathering and analyzing data to identify availability risks
• Experience with commissioning and performance testing of critical infrastructure
• Experience with scripting languages or statistical/mathematical software
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

• Interpret and develop Single Line Drawings and engineering documentation.
• Provide feedback to Design Engineering teams for design revisions.
