The role involves supporting the Facility Operations Center at Amazon, which is responsible for 24/7 monitoring of data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of infrastructure and strong computer and communication skills. This position is crucial for ensuring optimal customer experience through reliability and attention to detail. The team works collaboratively to maintain the operational excellence of Amazon Data Centers.
Requirements
- The candidate must be a US Citizen.
- The candidate must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
- The candidate should have 3+ years of technical support experience or a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- The candidate must have experience documenting technical customer issues and at least 1 year in a customer-facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work.
- The candidate should have 3+ years of customer service experience.
- The candidate must have 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
Responsibilities
- Respond to, acknowledge, investigate, and dispatch critical alarms.
- Monitor the facility infrastructure platform.
- Perform change management tasks.
- Create and issue tickets.
- Follow verbal and written directions.
- Maintain an intermediate level of understanding of critical infrastructure.
- Work required shift-work, overtime, and/or rotating schedules to support a 24/7 environment.
