The Senior Global Strategy Engineer will drive the development and implementation of enterprise data center strategies within AWS Infrastructure Services. This role involves collaborating with various internal teams to ensure high-quality design and performance standards for data centers globally. The engineer will lead due diligence efforts for new regions and work closely with Real Estate, Risk and Resiliency, and Design teams. The position requires strong leadership and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience in researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders during the due diligence phase to oversee the process and ensure design requirements are considered
• Gather data to ensure prerequisites for the start of the design stage are met
• Lead the predesign phase and ensure design-ready deliverables are handed over to the design team
• Analyze major intercepts impact to site plans and strategy
• Work with International Utilities to understand HV/MV substation design and assess risk and impacts on builds
• Provide engineering design decisions to the planning team for strategic planning and region selection
• Collaborate with other disciplines to assess how various products can be deployed in the region
• Communicate clearly and effectively with people from a wide range of technical abilities and backgrounds
