Job description

The Amazon Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Data Services organization is seeking Language Engineers to develop complex multimodal datasets for training and evaluating AI models. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data scientists, to ensure high-quality AI systems. The team is focused on innovation and advancing AI capabilities across various Amazon products. Candidates will engage in data collection, analysis, and tool development to support AI functionalities.

Requirements

  • Master's or higher degree in a relevant field such as Computational Linguistics or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in computational linguistics, language data processing, or AI data creation.
  • Experience with language data annotation systems and other forms of data markup.
  • Proficient with scripting languages, particularly Python.
  • Excellent communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design complex data collections with human participants based on scientific needs.
  • Conduct complex data creation tasks using synthetic and model-based data generation methods.
  • Analyze and extract insights from large datasets.
  • Build tools or prototypes for data analysis or creation using Python or other scripting languages.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to evaluate the performance of AI models.
