Job description

The role involves supporting the Facility Operations Center at Amazon, which is responsible for 24/7 monitoring of data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of infrastructure and strong computer and communication skills. This position is crucial for ensuring optimal customer experience through reliability and attention to detail. The team works collaboratively to maintain the operational excellence of AWS data centers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical support experience or a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Experience documenting technical customer issues and 1+ years of customer-facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience.
  • 3+ years of customer service experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Respond, acknowledge, investigate, and dispatch critical alarms.
  • Monitor the facility infrastructure platform.
  • Perform change management tasks.
  • Create and issue tickets.
  • Follow verbal and written directions.
  • Maintain an intermediate level of understanding of critical infrastructure.
