The Nondestructive Testing Engineer at Amazon will serve as a technical resource within data centers, focusing on designing, developing, and deploying innovative solutions to operational challenges. This role involves both independent work and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to improve various systems. Candidates with critical data center environment experience are encouraged to apply, as the position requires overseeing medium-sized projects from conception to completion. Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- 4+ years of data center engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/fiber) cabling
- Ability to perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired
Responsibilities
- Act as a Safety Ambassador responsible for promoting a safe working environment.
- Utilize internal CMMS to schedule and oversee Nondestructive Testing preventative maintenance.
- Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers, and management daily.
- Oversee projects and provide solutions for root causes of facility issues.
