Amazon Leo is seeking a Test Lab Engineer to join the Space Simulation Test Lab, focusing on high-throughput environmental testing of satellite sub-assemblies. The role involves supporting Thermal, TVAC, and HALT/HASS testing while collaborating with the Environmental Engineering team to improve production test processes. The engineer will troubleshoot equipment and ensure compliance with established procedures in a fast-paced environment. This position is essential for maintaining reliable production screening and enhancing lab efficiency.

• 3+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience.
• Hands-on experience operating or supporting environmental chambers, vacuum systems, or HASS screening equipment.
• Experience working with environmental test instrumentation and data acquisition systems (DAQ).
• Experience troubleshooting environmental test equipment, chamber control systems, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), or test infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Support high-throughput environmental screening of satellite sub-assemblies using Thermal Vacuum (TVAC), Thermal Stress, and HASS or HALT systems.
• Operate and maintain environmental chambers, cryogenic cooling infrastructure, and HASS vibration tables.
• Partner with Environmental Test Engineering and lab operations to sustain and improve environmental test processes.
• Troubleshoot issues involving environmental test equipment and maintain production throughput.
• Analyze test data and investigate off-nominal behavior to identify potential issues.
