Job description

This role is for a senior engineer on the Amazon EMR Managed Scaling team, focusing on developing innovative features for a managed framework that processes large data sets. The team is responsible for optimizing analytics workloads based on customer preferences, emphasizing speed, reliability, and security. Engineers will collaborate with senior and principal engineers, working in a fast-paced environment to solve complex problems. Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
