Join the AWS Hardware Engineering team as an Embedded Software Engineer, focusing on developing embedded software for critical power infrastructure in data centers. You will work on firmware migration initiatives that enhance AWS infrastructure reliability and support AI/ML workloads. The role requires collaboration with engineers across various teams to ensure robust and scalable firmware implementations. Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience in embedded development in C/C++
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Knowledge of ARM CPUs
- Experience writing low level drivers
- Knowledge in one of the communication protocols I2C, SPI, USB, UART
Responsibilities
- Design and develop firmware solutions for AWS servers.
- Lead the complete development lifecycle from initial conception through production deployment.
- Architect and implement firmware deployment strategies that minimize customer impact.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers and validation teams.
- Explore and evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration into our firmware stack.
- Drive technical solutions for problems balancing security requirements and operational efficiency.
- Tailor firmware solutions specifically for the AWS environment.
- Mentor team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
