The Systems Development Engineer will be part of Amazon's Technology Deployment - Systems Integration team, focusing on developing and delivering advanced fulfillment systems. This role requires a self-starter with engineering experience in automation projects, responsible for the deployment process and ensuring successful equipment delivery. The engineer will act as a liaison between Fulfillment Center Operations and product development engineers, capturing customer feedback to improve processes. The position involves integrating and troubleshooting new technology systems while fostering collaboration across teams.

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• 3+ years of control system experience including PLC/IPC based controls design, development, implementation, and support.
• Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
• Experience in operations management of fulfillment or distribution centers.

• Support the installation of complex cross-functional projects with considerable impact.
• Work with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver high-quality cross-functional projects.
• Contribute to project priorities, establishing milestones, and driving schedules to meet deadlines.
• Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors.
• Communicate project status and produce clear summaries for the projects owned.
