The Design Engineer will join Amazon's North America LastMile Design Team, focusing on the expansion of the Delivery Station Network. This role involves optimizing building designs and processes to enhance safety, customer experience, and operational efficiency. The team is dedicated to logistics innovation, combining expertise in various engineering disciplines to create effective solutions. The position requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and implementation of best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering
• 5+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies, and storage solutions
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project
• Experience working with and managing third party vendors
• Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing
• Master's degree in engineering, management, or technology is preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD
• Experience in the real estate and construction process related to manufacturing facilities

• Responsible for building design, development, review, and release for approval of new delivery stations and existing station improvements.
• Provide process expertise on engineering design including material flow, labor placement, and equipment layout.
• Achieve the daily and weekly plans set for the Design Engineers.
• Collaborate with various teams including Design Managers, CAD drafters, and Finance to optimize designs.
• Contribute to a culture of standardization by sharing best practices with global counterparts.
• Lead continuous process and design benchmark initiatives.
• Support the Design quality control process to ensure accurate designs.
• Implement new Design standards in collaboration with various engineering and safety teams.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives at the project level.
• Facilitate cross-functional project reviews to collaborate on design solutions.
• Travel up to 25% to support complex design implementations.
