The Software Development Engineer role at AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (DRS) focuses on building and maintaining mission-critical services that minimize downtime and data loss for organizations. This position requires a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and experience in large-scale distributed systems. Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, or distributed software applications
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and parallel computing
Responsibilities
- Implement software features and updates to the DRS stack
- Consult and collaborate with a team of engineers to resolve technical issues
- Guide and mentor junior engineers
- Participate in support rotations to ensure customer satisfaction
- Actively participate in product definition and technical architecture review
- Develop automation testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline
- Provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of scalable solutions
