Job description

The Validation Engineer role at Annapurna Labs focuses on validating next-generation machine learning accelerators for AWS's cloud computing infrastructure. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with experts across various domains to ensure high-quality performance of AI/ML accelerators. The position involves bridging hardware and software components, ensuring they meet rigorous standards. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of cloud infrastructure through innovative silicon validation.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Lua, C/C++, Rust, Go, etc.
  • A solid understanding of computer architecture.
  • Experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
  • Validation experience in areas such as PCIe, HBM, GPUs, and ML hardware architecture.
  • Familiarity with the validation lifecycle from RTL simulation to silicon failure analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive validation strategies and detailed test plans.
  • Execute complex test plans from RTL simulation and emulation environments.
  • Conduct hands-on silicon bring-up and debug in the lab.
  • Validate ML accelerator performance, accuracy, and reliability using real-world workloads.
  • Build test infrastructure, CI/CD, and automated regression frameworks.
  • Collaborate with architecture, design, firmware, and software teams to triage failures.
  • Review test results, identify patterns, and provide feedback for design improvement.
  • Support production systems in AWS data centers and address field issues.
