The team focuses on automation technologies and operational excellence within Amazon's logistics network. Candidates should be innovative leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to solve complex problems.

Requirements

  • Experience and strong technical background in automated or non-automated material handling equipment
  • Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field is preferred
  • Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and other operations engineering tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate design efforts to develop optimal processes and material handling design solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively communicating with business partners.
  • Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects and building designs.
  • Conduct detailed design reviews with vendors to develop complex storage and processing solutions.
  • Visit vendor facilities to conduct proof-of-concept and acceptance tests of designed equipment.
  • Visit Amazon fulfillment centers to conduct tests on equipment and drive continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders through business reviews and white papers.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
