The Security Engineer role within the Infrastructure Compliance Team at AWS focuses on security and risk management of the AWS Infrastructure. The team is responsible for developing systems that detect, assess, and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with various standards. Candidates will work collaboratively with diverse teams to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong technical skills in networking, supply chain security, and data center compliance.

• 4+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing.
• Strong understanding of internet and networking technologies including TCP/IP and network security.
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in identifying security issues and developing mitigation plans.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals.
• Knowledge of one or more scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.

• Identify and drive mitigation of security risks and develop monitoring capabilities for compliance.
• Assess the impact of ambiguous security risks and provide scalable solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy automation tools to streamline compliance validation and security control monitoring.
• Build automation solutions using scripting languages to improve team efficiency.
• Develop tooling for automated remediation of security and compliance gaps.
• Lead compliance discussions with stakeholders and external auditors.
• Produce and catalog compliance content to improve customer response times.
