Job description
The Amazon Now team is seeking a Software Engineer to enhance the delivery experience for customers by developing scalable applications and backend services. Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable customer-facing applications and backend services for the Amazon Now platform
- Collaborate with Senior SDEs, Principal Engineers, TPMs, and Product Managers to define technical solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following Amazon's engineering best practices
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions
- Own the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment and operations
- Drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and seller experience
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising the engineering bar across the team
- Work in a fast-paced, agile environment with rapid iteration cycles
