Amazon Web Services’ Network Products Development team is seeking experienced hardware engineering professionals to design and develop next-generation Ethernet switching platforms for data centers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in modular chassis-based products and high-speed digital design. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires a deep understanding of Ethernet networking and hardware board design. Requirements
- BSEE with 10+ years of experience in hardware board and systems development.
- 5+ years of recent experience with Ethernet switching fabrics and embedded CPU subsystems.
- Experience with high-speed PCB design and CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog.
- Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams including mechanical and diagnostic engineers.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop next-generation Ethernet switching platforms.
- Define and implement modular chassis functions such as system redundancy and power distribution.
- Collaborate with PCB designers and testing teams to ensure product quality.
- Lead high-speed digital design projects from concept to mass production.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues using specialized test equipment.
