Job description

Join the Amazon Optics team as a software engineer focused on building innovative security services that protect AWS physical locations. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure services that protect AWS physical locations
  • Take ownership of operational excellence by identifying root causes of issues and implementing permanent fixes
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business and customer value
  • Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to documentation
  • Automate operational inefficiencies for both the team and customers
