• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial, municipal, or commercial engineering, particularly in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Valid US driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
• Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission-critical facilities.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Data analytics skills and comfort with working in large datasets.

• Provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through maintenance.
• Troubleshoot site and equipment failures and conduct Root Cause Analysis.
• Support operational issues with training and complex procedure reviews.
• Own the conceptual design for data center upgrades and solutions.
• Interface with internal teams to promote standards for consistency and reliability.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers.
• Initiate and lead engineering audits, producing reports with risks and mitigations.
• Act as a resident engineer during new construction projects.
