The Software Development Engineer (SDE II) role focuses on developing and maintaining the Private Brands Central (PBC) tool for Amazon Private Brands (APB). The team aims to enhance product development workflows through innovative solutions, including generative AI applications. Engineers will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improve existing systems. This position also involves mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a strong engineering culture.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Experience creating processes that have improved productivity or quality
- Bachelor's degree or above in a quantitative field or experience in defining benchmarks for GenAI model performance
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Implement complex software solutions that meet business requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs
- Participate in architecture and design reviews to provide technical guidance
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancement
