Job description
The Systems Engineer I role at Amazon Robotics focuses on deploying advanced industrial robotics and customer fulfillment technologies across North America. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field
- 1+ year’s experience with technical drawings and/or reading CAD models
- 1+ year’s experience working on mechanical, electrical, IT networked, or software systems
- Ability to troubleshoot robotics systems to resolve escalations
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work primarily in a construction or warehouse environment and travel extensively
Responsibilities
- Support and guide installation of robotics, packaging, and sortation technologies at Amazon fulfillment centers
- Develop detailed knowledge of the operation of robotic systems and guide installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of these systems
- Manage technical ambiguity around integration of work cells in fulfillment centers
- Collaborate with hardware engineering, technical program managers, product managers, and internal customers
- Travel to project sites and ensure all business stakeholders are aligned on program status
- Manage day-to-day project scheduling and budget management
- Work on continuous improvement activities to improve the projects in your space
