Job description
Ring is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team, focusing on building and maintaining efficient data pipelines to enhance customer experience. The role involves collaborating with software engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders across various verticals. The Data Engineer will work with complex data environments and utilize GenAI to optimize data pipelines. The team manages a centralized data repository and supports various analytics use cases for stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases or data stores
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience working in or building GenAI enhanced data pipelines
Responsibilities
- Collect and discuss requirements from business stakeholders across various verticals
- Build new data ingestions using Native AWS services and/or internal Amazon tools
- Maintain and improve existing data ingestions to meet evolving standards
- Build, improve, and maintain frameworks or tools and GenAI Agents for data management
- Perform code reviews and ensure best practices for ETL and data hygiene are followed
