Job description
As an Audio HW Systems Engineer, you will lead the design of audio hardware for new product initiatives from concept to launch. You will work within a cross-functional team to deliver comprehensive audio solutions, ensuring exceptional audio performance in Amazon's consumer products. The role involves defining performance targets, supporting factory builds, and innovating new audio technologies. You will be recognized as a technical leader and contribute to the continuous improvement of the audio hardware team.
Requirements
- BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in audio product development
- Experience with acoustic system design including loudspeakers and microphones
- Experience with acoustic measurement and characterization tools
- Experience supporting factory builds and production testing
- Knowledge of DFx principles
- Experience with simulation tools for acoustic modeling
- Experience with subjective audio quality evaluation
- Knowledge of audio electronics and transducer design
Responsibilities
- Define audio performance targets with product management
- Simulate, prototype, and demonstrate audio product concepts
- Lead audio hardware representation on cross-functional product teams
- Support factory builds, including test and failure analysis
- Own audio hardware test and validation and drive debugging of issues
- Tune playback systems to deliver exceptional audio experiences
- Innovate and integrate new audio technologies
- Develop design processes to drive continuous improvement
- Advance simulation and measurement methodologies
