Job description

The role of DE-II at Prime Video involves designing and delivering systems that process billions of content requests and catalog queries daily. You will be part of the Catalog & Data Platform team, which is responsible for ensuring that customers see the right content with the right offers at the right time. This position requires innovation and technical savvy to solve complex problems in a high-performance distributed system. Your work will directly impact the customer experience for millions of active streamers worldwide.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Experience with non-relational databases or data stores such as object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, and column-family databases

Responsibilities

  • Design and build high-performance distributed systems for content processing
  • Ensure accurate content delivery to customers across various territories
  • Identify and realize opportunities to enhance the customer experience
  • Collaborate with team members to drive innovation in the video platform
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end video platform processes
