Job description

The Production Workflow Engineer (PWE) at Amazon MGM Studios is responsible for driving the adoption of cloud-based production workflows. This role involves educating customers and partners about the Studio-in-the-Cloud suite and integrating local workflows with the cloud. The PWE will act as a subject matter expert on production and post-production processes, anticipating future trends and providing insights to enhance workflows. The position is part of a team focused on creating best-in-class digital video experiences for Prime Video customers.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas experience, such as software development or cloud computing
  • 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries
  • Experience in production or post-production processes and facilities
  • Knowledge or experience in leading industry content creation tools like Avid Media Composer and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • Experience with AWS technologies
  • Written and spoken proficiency in one of the following languages, in addition to English: Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Hindi, or Portuguese

Responsibilities

  • Drive adoption of Studio-in-the-Cloud cloud-based workflows.
  • Educate customers, internal partners, and third-party production companies about creative workflows.
  • Work with vendors to validate workflows and integrate local workflows with the cloud.
  • Gather and communicate requirements and issues to the product and engineering team.
  • Lead engagements with management and post leadership at partner production and post companies.
  • Onboard productions and help evangelize cloud production in the Media & Entertainment industry.
  • Deliver written and spoken communications to establish AMS as a leader in cloud-based media workflows.
