This role involves working on a variety of automation projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The engineer will interface with internal teams and external partners to develop innovative solutions. Candidates should be flexible, entrepreneurial, and ready to take ownership of their work.

• 5+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience.
• Experience designing or implementing integrated automation solutions such as material handling systems or manufacturing lines.
• Experience in PLC based controls design, development, implementation, and support.
• 5+ years of machine control code development experience with practical experience in structured text.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, TwinCAT IPCs, and Soft PLCs/IPCs.
• Experience utilizing software development best practices for code management and code reviews.
• Knowledge of engineering practices for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
• Experience developing controls code utilizing the Codesys platform.
• Experience with industrial automation and controls system design.
• Experience with industrial fieldbus protocols such as Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT.
• Experience with industrial automation safety design.
• Embedded programming experience with C/C++, Java, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with HMI design and development.
• Ability to recognize and implement improvements to the human aspects of systems development.

• Develop core machine control logic for industrial edge devices.
• Design, simplify, and continuously improve system controls architecture.
• Identify and implement system optimizations.
• Integrate control systems with a diverse array of sensors, actuators, motors, and software services.
• Work closely with deployment teams to implement end-to-end solutions in the field.
• Travel 50% of the time to support onsite system testing.
