Job description
Amazon Web Services is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Amazon Elastic Container Services for Kubernetes (EKS) team. This role focuses on developing solutions that simplify the management of Kubernetes for customers, allowing them to concentrate on their applications. The team works on innovative projects to enhance compute workloads on EKS clusters, particularly for AI/ML applications. The position also includes on-call responsibilities and emphasizes mentorship and career growth for team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Solve challenging technical problems in a fast-paced environment
- Develop solutions that are high impact and rolled out to a large customer base
- Participate in on-call responsibilities to ensure system reliability
- Mentor junior team members and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate with peers to enhance the EKS service offerings
