The team is responsible for designing hardware and software for routers that power the global AWS network. The candidate will work collaboratively with engineers and specialists to ensure product reliability and quality through rigorous testing processes. This position emphasizes the importance of innovative solutions to complex problems while maintaining operational excellence.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems
• Experience performing PCB schematic and layout reviews to ensure specification compliance
• Knowledge of power and thermal design and validation
• Experience using scripting languages, such as Python
• Understanding of electrical engineering design principles, transmission-line theory, and high-speed circuit designs

• Develop and implement detailed validation plans tailored to specific hardware designs
• Collaborate with design and production teams to understand and test against product requirements
• Analyze and interpret data from validation tests, offering insights and recommendations
• Design and document validation processes, findings, and insights in a structured manner
• Oversee and plan the use of validation equipment to guarantee consistent results
• Work cross-functionally to troubleshoot and address any hardware issues identified during validation
• Support new product introduction and sustaining engineering
• Develop and contribute to testing automation
