This role is for an experienced Software Development Engineer in the AWS Service Catalog team, focusing on building and operating hyperscale, ultra-secure, mission-critical products. Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality, scalable software features for millions of active AWS accounts worldwide
- Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to operational support
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to translate customer needs into technical solutions
- Contribute to architectural decisions and drive best practices in code quality and security
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the reliability of production services
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Engage directly with customers and stakeholders to understand pain points and validate solutions
